Oops..

Sorry, I kow I promised to let you know where in the process I am, but I've been too busy. I've hade alot of things to do these days and I've been very sick but at least now I'm here!

Well. Some months ago I decided to apply for a year in the USA as an Au Pair. So the last month I've spent trying to find references, time to go to the doctor, crime register and I copied my driving license, my passport and my grades and so on. Everything to prepare myself for my interview with a girl named Emelie from STS, the company that I'm going with. I had the interview this Thursday and it all went well. Some things were a little hard to answer but I think I did good in the end. She asked about what kind of person I am, what kind of family I'd like to have, why am I doing this, and so on like forever..haha, no but it was pretty long actually.

So what's coming up next? Well, now the focus is on my application that the American families will be able to find and read so that they maybe will choose me as their au pair. I hope I'll come to a big city, but that's pretty much my only requirement(?). Yeah, I admit that it would be sooo awesome to be in LA or Miami or so, but I'll take what I get.

Back to the application..I need to take 10 photos of me in different situations, in the ice rink, with my friends, with my family, when I'm around kids, and blablabla. I also need to do video that they'll see. And answer aloooooot of questions about me. I'll start this week, I must be done pretty soon if I'm gonna get a family soon.

Well that's it for now. I'll hopefully write to tell you about how my application is going. And maybe show you the pictures and so.

Preliminary design

Yup, just took the first picture I found and put it together to a little collage. I know it's a little ego, but take it or leave it. I will change as soon as I find some better and have the energy to do it.

Hi and welcome to my very own blog about my year as an au pair in the USA. No, I don't have a family yet but hopefully I will get one soon. It feels a little weird that I'm doing this right now, I've been dreaming about this since I was like 12 or 13 or so. It has been my biggest dream to go to the USA for a year and live and work with an american family, to improve my English and to learn about the American culture. Aaaaaa, I'm soooo excited.

Okey, back to my blog. Here I'll write about everything that happens and all about the preparations and other stuff that I need to do before my year abroad. I'll try to write everything in English too, because I really need to practise, my English pretty much sucks right now so yeah...but with a little practise it will get better I hope.

So, if you want to now what I'm doing, and where I am in the process, you should read this blog. I wont write everyday or so, but as fast as I know something new I'll write it. And during my year I'll try to write everyday and tell you how it is in America and what I do and so on. So then it will get alot more interesting!
