Ny design

I finished my Au Pair Room

My application has been sent away to the USA now. My Au Pair Room is finally done and now I just wait for a family to contact me, haha. Think this will be so exciting, great, wonderful and so on.
This is my letter to my future host-family:

Dear Host Family,

My name is Emilia Berntsson and I'm an eighteen years old girl from Sweden. I live with my family in Gothenburg, which is the second biggest city in Sweden. I love my city, you can find everything you need here but nevertheless I sometimes feel like it's a little too small. I want to leave everything here to do something else than I’m used to, something exciting, because I want to learn and see something new.

Right now I'm studying my last semester in High School and I will graduate in just a week. I’m an ambitious student with very good grades which I think says pretty much about my personality. I’m a perfectionist, at least when it’s about myself. I'm so excited about my graduation! Mostly because I want to experience something new, and that's why I've decided to become an Au Pair. I want to do something new, get to know the American culture and improve my English and I couldn't think of any better way to do that than to be an Au Pair because I love children, to work with them, to help them, to make them laugh. So that's why I want to be an Au Pair.

In my free time I like to work out, mostly running, biking and swimming. I also like to hang out with friends and I try to spend as much time as possible with my family. I also like to read or watch a good movie when I’m home alone. My family have a dog and I use to go out for a walk with him at least five times a week.

I think that I'm a happy, positive and intelligent girl who always try her best. I'm open-minded and pretty easy to go with because I always adapt myself for what the situation requires and I'm always willing to learn new things. That's kind of my motto, to learn something new everyday and I think I will have many possibilites to do that as an Au Pair. I’m also creative and like to find new things to do, I like to challenge myself.

I’m used to take responsibility for others, partly because I use to take care of children of course, but partly because I’ve arranged several of things for my friends, for example I’ve arranged three class-trips to different places which has been very appreciated. This is very typical for me, I love to have things going on around me.

I think it's important to have limits for the children, they must have some kind of rules, but of course it has to depend on the situation. For me it's important to be consistent and not always let the kids do what they want, they must accept what I or their parents say to them. When I take care of or teach children I use to have some rules to make it work. The rules I have depend on which children it is, what I’m doing with them, their age and some other things. With other words: I’m flexible. And of course I will adapt to your rules and how you want your child/children to be raised.

So why should you choose me? Because I have alot of experience caring for children from different places, both babysitting and teaching. I'm also very dedicated to what I do, I always do what I'm told to. And, as I mentioned before, I'm easy to go with and I love to do new things. I’m often told that the children like me so I guess that kids tend to like me. That must mean that I at least do something right. I think you will be very happy with me as your Au Pair and that's why you should choose me!

Thank you for reading my letter. I hope to here from you soon!

Best regards,
Emilia Berntsson

Unfortunately I don't have the corrected version, only my "utkast". I have no energy to search for the correct word. Well, I know there's alot of incorrect grammar and spelling but this is it for now.

Tell you when something new happens! :)))
